Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between BWP and BWR grade plywood?
BWP (Boiling Waterproof) plywood is fully waterproof and suited to areas with constant moisture exposure, like bathrooms and kitchens — used in our Marine Door and Shuttering Ply. BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) plywood resists moisture well but isn't fully waterproof, making it ideal for general furniture and interior use, like our Salha Ply and Format Ply.
Which plywood should I use for a modular kitchen?
We recommend BWP marine-grade plywood for kitchen carcasses, since the constant humidity and occasional water exposure in a kitchen calls for full waterproofing rather than just water resistance.
What's the difference between plywood and block board?
Plywood is made of thin layers of wood veneer glued together, offering high strength and stability. Block board has a core of solid timber strips sandwiched between veneer sheets, making it lighter and more economical for large flat surfaces like wardrobe shutters.
Do you supply shuttering plywood for construction sites?
Yes, our Shuttering Ply is built for repeated reuse in concrete casting and is dense and edge-sealed to withstand multiple pours.
Can doors be made to custom sizes?
Yes, all our doors — laminated, flush, marine, 2D, 3D and solid wooden — are made to order to fit your exact frame dimensions.
